“Where Academics & Arts Come Alive!”

Meet the Superintendent

Mr. Scott Will - Superintendent

Scott Will

Welcome to The Richland School of Academic Arts!

This is my 24th year in education and 13th as a school administrator, 4th as superintendent.  Serving students and families truly is my passion and purpose and education is the medium in which I am able to pursue that service each and everyday.  I am a husband to Cara, father to Zach, Dylan, Seth, Lukah and Alayna and grandfather to Rosalynn and Isabelle.  I split time growing up between my parents, one family in Ashland and one family in Mansfield, Ohio.  I enjoy hiking and backpacking and will often be found out and about on local trails whenever I get the opportunity.  Mansfield has always been part of my life and I could not be more happy with being able to come back to Mansfield in my profession three years ago.  I was involved in the arts and athletics growing up and into my professional career, and feel that the arts provide students an outlet and skillset that will forever be utilized in their daily lives, long after other activities and pursuits will end.  RSAA is a very special place to be and my charge is to pursue excellence in academics and the arts on a daily basis for our school community.

RSAA is a school that values excellence in education and the integration of fine arts into the daily lives of our students. RSAA, as we are commonly known, provides an exceptional core academic education using optimum, research-based practices while immersing children in music, art, and dance. These practices, accompanied by a structured framework, afford our students the best possible elementary and middle school education.  We have very high expectations for our school in terms of how we serve, our teachers in how they instruct, and our students in how they contribute and grow within our school community.

As our families choose to come to our school, we want to partner with our students and parents/guardians to become "deeply rooted" in the day to day academics and social expectations to provided the optimal educational environment for your student.  We have the same challenges as our local partners do and we do our best within our resources to address those challenges.  I truly feel we do an excellent job in meeting the expectations of our families that are part of our school community. We are excited to work with our students and families throughout the 2023/2024 academic year to provide a positive, supportive and engaging educational environment.

We welcome your support and input as we work together for the best possible educational experience for your child!  Please do not hesitate to reach out if you have any questions.
