Welcome to the Richland School of Academic Arts (RSAA)!

We are thrilled to have you join our school community as we embark on the start of our 14th year since its inception.  I have the honor of serving as the founder of RSAA. With 40 years of experience in education, I am deeply committed to the belief that  our children are society's greatest assets. It has been my life's mission to ensure that every child has the opportunity to receive a comprehensive education characterized by academic rigor, enriched by the beauty of the arts, and guided by nurturing educators.

Growing up in the Mansfield area, I was fortunate to be immersed in a community with a rich history of the arts. My own experiences in dance and theater not only developed my artistic talents but also instilled in me qualities of discipline, dedication, and responsibility. It is with this rich cultural heritage in mind that RSAA strives to continue Mansfield's legacy of art education. Our goal is to empower our students to become well-rounded members of our community—individuals who are hardworking, lifelong learners, and who have a deep appreciation for the art and beauty that surrounds them.

As the founder of RSAA, I take immense pride in the growth of our school, not just in terms of numbers, but in the quality of education we provide. Year after year, our students return to express their gratitude. They thank us for challenging them with academic rigor and discipline, for offering them an enriching artistic experience, but most importantly, for the love and care we provide. For me, as the founder, this nurturing environment and the growth and happiness of our students are what I value most.

As we embark on this exciting journey at the Richland School of Academic Arts, I want you to know that not only do I value our students and their families, but I also deeply cherish my own family. My husband, Jeff, and I have been married for 42 wonderful years, and we are the proud parents of two amazing children, Kelsey and Ryan. But that's not all – they've given us the most precious gifts of all, our beloved grandchildren, Millie Scott and Sunday James, who are the absolute love of our lives.

Family is at the core of what makes us who we are, and we understand that it's the same for many of you. In fact, Kelsey is about to bless Jeff and me with one more grandchild, due to arrive in November. This growing family is a constant source of joy and inspiration for me, reminding me every day of the importance of providing a nurturing and supportive environment for your children here at RSAA.

We look forward to getting to know your families and becoming a part of your child's educational journey. Together, as a school community, we can continue to foster a warm and caring atmosphere where every child can thrive academically and artistically.
